Band/artist history
Initially this was a reaction to all the crap sites out there, promising free music samples. Even though things have gotten a bit better the last few years, its still hell. Just try typing something like: free + loops + samples, in Google... So March 2007 iBeat opened.
Esse ntially we had loads and loads of never finished music, or productions that didnt fit the glove in terms of the bands and projects we are a part of. So we needed a channel for this creative output ... basically it was possible to deliver high quality materiale from start up and keep piling on.
The point
Providing free loops and samples - as well as linking to updated resources, so you don't have to click in vain. We want to share sound as well as pointing people to some decent resources. If we could get some projects going on top of this, that wouldnt be half bad. If we are a waste of time, we want to be it in a good way and not the shitty, click-on- useless adds, buy a crap sample CD kind of way ... If you made it here - you know what we are talking about!
In short: content is king, and lets save music while we are at it!
