PRESSURE POiNt is a 5 piece Hard Rock Band based out of Hemet California which is located in Riverside County. With influences ranging from Steve Vai to TOOL they have taken the styles of many artists and molded it to their own sound. With an energetic stage performance and infectious songs that get stuck in your head PRESSURE POiNT is destined to be one of the next big things from SoCal. Originally the band was made up of Chance on Vocals, Brad Dodson on Guitar, Ang Arguin on Bass, and Andy Estrada on Drums, but recently added the rhythm guitar talents of Kenny Center to round out the sound. PRESSURE POiNT was formed in May of 2003 and while most bands that have only been playing together for a year are wet behind the ears the members of PRESSURE POiNT are seasoned veterans of the music scene. After only 5 months of writing and rehearsing they hit the stage, and they hit it hard. PRESSURE POiNT began gigging in October of 2003 where they headlined The Hard Rock Stage @ The Southern California Fair and they havent stopped since, sometimes playing multiple shows in a week. In the short time that they have been playing they have secured a loyal fan base in their city, their current single Indiscretions is at #6 on Soundclick.coms Alternative (General Alt.) Charts, Rateourband.com listeners have ranked their first single Bury Me Now 4.5 out of 5 stars, and they are currently being sponsored by POZER CLOTHING. And they are just getting warmed up.
At 26 years old vocalist Chance Proppe has been writing and performing original music for over half of his life. The first time Chance took the stage to perform at a musical venue he was 9, singing back-up for his fathers band, L.V. Lizard. He has since written music and competed in countless amounts of showcases across the country. Brad Dodson is usually smiled on and quickly dismissed by those who have never heard him play as he takes the stage, most 19 year old guitar players are, but he quickly turns their dismissal into accolades as he shreds riff after riff. When you hear Brad play its a signature sound that only PRESSURE POiNT has. He may look young on the outside but there is the heart and soul of a matured and accomplished guitarist underneath it all, solo after solo he continues to amaze even the most hard-core of PRESSURE POiNT fans. Chance and Brad flow like a well oiled machine when it comes to making music. Whether its a harmony, melody, lyric or chord they just seem to know what the other one is going to do next. Kenny Center has been playing guitar since he was 15 and adds an amount of depth to the band that they had been missing before, and with the addition of him vocally it makes for some 3 part harmonies that you dont hear in the Hard Rock of today. Few bands have women members and even fewer make the females carry their own stacks. PRESSURE POiNT does both. Angela Arguin is the chick of the band and its youngest member at only 18, but is treated just like one of the guys. She just woke up one morning and felt compelled to play bass for a band. Having Ang in the band is like having a hard nosed critic and Bass Player at the same time. No one is more blunt and to the point if something just doesnt sound right. Andy Estrada brings a hint of old school metal to the group. At 25 and the youngest in his family, Andy quickly grew to appreciate the Heavy Metal Music his siblings listened to in the 80s. While most drummers have opted to let the double kick drum become a monotonous sound in a song Andy keeps it retro with only a single kick preferring to blend and accompany rather than battle for a spotlight.
PRESSURE POINT was formed in May of 2003. The remaining members of SOUND THEORY were shopping for a new bass player online. We had auditioned a few bass players but no one really jumped out at us. We began to get frustrated, but then we came across Brad on an AOL search. He was phenominal on the bass, but then, during a break he plugged in his guitar and started to wail! We couldn't believe a 19 year old kid could wail on the guitar like that.
Eventually, the decision was made to add Brad to the mix as the lead guitarist. Everything was great, but we still needed a bass player. Never fear, Brad had the answer! His girlfriend Angela played bass. It's funny how things just work themselves out. Now we were complete. Chance was on vocals and rhythm, Brad was on lead, Ang was on bass, and Andy backed us up on drums. During the first rehearsal, we wrote 3 songs in just over an hour. We just seemed to click.

ATTENTION: PRESSURE POINT WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE FOR THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM ON THE PART OF "SHOOTERS FOOD AND BREW" AND THE "LOCAL PUNKS" IN HEMET CALIFORNIA. CONTRARY TO WHAT THOSE OF YOU THAT PAID THE 10 DOLLARS AT "SHOOTERS" WERE TOLD, WE DID NOT, I REPEAT DID NOT BACK OUT OF THE SHOW ON TUESDAY AUGUST 26TH. WE WERE LEFT OUT IN THE PARKING LOT BEHIND "SHOOTERS" FOR 2 HOURS WHILE THEY DECIDED WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO WITH US BECAUSE THEY HAD AT LEAST 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE BOOKING THE SHOW FOR TONIGHT. WE WERE FIRST TOLD WHEN WE GOT THERE THAT WE WOULD BE GOING ON AT 7:15 P.M. INSTEAD OF THE AGREED TIME OF 9:00 P.M. BECAUSE THEY WANTED US ON AND OFF THE STAGE BEFORE THE ACTUAL "SHOW" STARTED. THEN WE WERE TOLD BY A DIFFERENT PROMOTER THAT THEY MEANT TO CANCEL OUR PORTION OF THE SHOW BUT JUST DIDN'T GET AROUND TO CALLING US TO LET US KNOW. SO THEY WOULD DO OUR BEST TO FIT US IN. WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY WOULD LET US OPEN THE SHOW AND THAT IT WOULD BE AS CLOSE TO NINE AS POSSIBLE, SOUNDED LIKE A GOOD DEAL TO ME UNTIL WE HEARD THE OPENING ACT PLAYING THEIR SET ON STAGE. NEITHER OF THE PEOPLE BOOKING THIS SHOW HAD ANY CLUE AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON TONIGHT. SO AFTER 2 HOURS AND THE SHOW HAVING ALREADY STARTED WE TOOK THAT AS OUR CUE THAT THEY HAD NO INTENTION OF PUTTING US ON STAGE TONIGHT. SO AS THE NIGHT GREW LONGER IN THE PARKING LOT BEHIND THE BAR AND THE FACT THAT ALL OF OUR EQUIPMENT WAS STILL IN THE BACK OF MY TRUCK BECAUSE WE COULDN'T UNLOAD IT, WE PACKED UP OUR PRIDE AND LEFT. PRESSURE POINT IS A PROFESSIONAL BAND THAT DESERVES RESPECT!
