Stuntin On Em Stuntin On Em
Created May 15, 2007, the Show-Me Boyz are guaranteed to change the rap game. The group consists of three young rappers; Jon Alexander (Yung Phenom), Corrie Hairston (Yung Cee), and Shane McLemore (Lil Bank). These three have been rapping for approximately two years together, and have improved their skills greatly over that amount of time. Born March 3, Yung Phenom is the oldest of the group. He chose this nickname because he considers himself phenomenal compared to other rappers his age. He is the smooth, hardcore rhymer of the group and takes most of his influence from Cassidy. Yung Cee, born April 30, is the second oldest of the three. His nickname reflects an abbreviation of his real name. He puts more of a swagger into his flow like his idol, Lil Wayne. The youngest, Lil Bank was born August 22. He derived his nickname from him always having money. He uses it as a metaphor by saying he is, in a way, a bank. His flow is on the wild and unpredictable side. He is deeply influenced by Lil Boosie. Yung Phenom and Yung Cee were the first of the group to start rapping. They both started in the 7th grade. At first, rapping was just a hobby for them to pass the time of long summer days and another way for them to express themselves. However, about one year later, their music started to be heard by their peers as the word got out about them rapping. Soon, they started to receive very positive feedback from all of their listeners about their skills and were encouraged to write more. They became better and better as each song was made. This was just the beginning. Around their second year of rapping, they met Lil Bank. He was just a part time rapper at first and wasnt really taken seriously because of how much younger he was than Phenom and Cee. He soon proved otherwise when he dropped a few hot lines in their first song together and was added to the duo. They formed a pretty solid team, but were still on the weak side because of their inexperience. They then met a friend that produced beats, and added him on. The four were a force to be reckoned with and became popular for their music in their high school rather quickly. Unfortunately, the powerhouse didnt last long and the new guy was dropped. Another free agent from their high school was added and once again another group was formed. Although a nice addition to the team, he didnt last long either and left the group. It was back to the original three now, Lil Bank, Yung Cee, and Yung Phenom. Due to the recent troubles with keeping a steady group, the three decided not to add anyone else to the roster. They figured that since they started together, then they would end together. It was a pretty logical decision since they were the only three to stay strong. The Show-Me Boyz are still wowing their friends and fans with their hit songs and hot mix tapes. Now theyre working on getting heard in the St. Louis area, and even further!
