J.O.S.H. (who was then LIL CUZ, the name due to his older cousin getting him started in the rap game)STARTED RAPPING IN THE 7TH GRADE. HE WAS IN THE GROUP TEAM GET EEM WHERE HE WAS NOT KNOWN AS THE BEST IN THE GROUP. WITH LYRICS LOW AND FLOW WAY OFF, LIL CUZ (J.O.S.H.) MOVED DOWN SOUTH TO NORTH CAROLINA HIS 11TH GRADE YEAR. HE STARTED OFF WITH THE "CLASS OF 06 MIXTAPE" DID VERY WELL IN THE BEGINING OF HIS SENIOR YEAR. WITH THE SUCCESS OF HIS MIXTAPE ,TO CLOSE OUT THE YEAR HE DECIDED TO DROP ANOTHER MIXTAPE. LIL CUZ (J.O.S.H.) THEN GOT OUT OF THE GROUP TEAM GET EEM AND BECAME A SOLO ARTIST, AND DROPPED "THE COUNTDOWN UNFINSHED MIXTAPE". THIS MIXTAPE DID NOT DO AS WELL AS THE PREVIOUS MIXTAPE DUE TO POOR PROMOTION. PEOPLE THEN THOUGHT THAT IT WAS BECAUSE OF HIS SKILLS LEVEL AND THEY BEGAIN TO "HATE" ON HIM.
LIL CUZ CHANGED HIS NAME TO J.O.S.H. ( JUMPING OVER SOME HATERS), AND GOT TO WORK ON HIS LYRICS AND FLOW TO GET THEM BETTER THAN BEFORE. J.O.S.H. THEN DROPPED HIS FIRST SOLO ALBUM UNDER THE NEW NAME. THE ALBUM "SEARCH PARTY" SOLD LIKE HOT CAKES IN THE 252 AREA OF NORTH CAROLINA. THE AMAZING THING WAS THIS ALBUM ONLY HAD NINE SONGS!!! THE SONGS AND BEATS (PRODUCED BY J.O.S.H.) WERE PLAYED ON 101.1 THE BEAT IN THE AREA. AFTER GRADUATING J.O.S.H. WENT TO NC A&T WHERE HE MET UP WITH THE GROUP LAZRSO (www.lazrso.com) BEING TRAINED BY RSONIST AND LAZURUS HE GOT BETTER AND BETTER AT WRITTING AND FREESTYLING. TO START THE SECOND SEMESTER J.O.S.H. DROPPED THE "747 MIXTAPE" AND PUT IT OUT ON CAMPUS. DUE TO BEING KNOWN FOR DANCING THE CD DID NOT SELL. THEY DIDN'T KNOW THAT HE COULD RAP. HE DID NOT GIVE UP AND MET UP WITH R.DOT (PRODUCER) AND RON THESE THREE MADE MAGIC WHEN IT CAME TO THE MUSIC. SICK BEATS, SICK LYRICS BROUGHT IN SHOWS AND SLOWLY THE NAME OF J.O.S.H. SPREAD.
GETTING BETTER AT A RAPPID RATE, STILL BEING IN TRAINING, J.O.S.H IS NOW BACK IN NEW JERSEY... FOR GOOD. THIS TIME HE IS MAD, AND LOOKING FOR TWO THINGS....
THE CROWN AS THE BEST RAPPER IN SOUTH JERSEY (AND ONE OF THE BEST IN JERSEY PERIOD).
REVENGE ON ALL THE PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T THINK HE WAS GONNA MAKE IT.
