Hi, i'm Kenny Leckie (B.A., HND)
I was born in January '87 in Paisley, Scotland.
Been playing in bands since '99. Been and done most things there are to do on the Scottish music scene as a band. Now trying it by myself.Band/artist history
Started playing guitar at the age of 11. Formed a band soon after. Done my first gig in '00. Played in metal bands to techno groups.
Left school at 16 to study music at college. Got a B.A. degree in Commericial Music at 19.
Two days before my 20th birthday, i left my band and went solo. I had got tired of wait for people to make a full commitment to music.
Now i'm a touring folk machine.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play gigs all the time. About 2 per week. I like playing to new people. My first solo gig in Dundee was pretty special. Any gig where the audience 'get it' is pretty special.
Your musical influences
Everything and anything. From the fastest metal to the softest ballads. Life is too short to listen to just one type of music.
Influenced by everything from Black Flag and Slayer to Weezer and Ben Folds, by the way of Billy Bragg, Elvis Costello and Jeff Buckley.What equipment do you use?
For my solo gigs i use my mate Bowles' Fender Acoustic.
In the studio, i use Fender Jaguars and Telecasters, Marshall/Vox amps, Electro-Harmonics and Boss FXSAnything else?
