Band/artist history
I was born in Montreal, Quebec Canada. I picked up my first guitar at 10 years old. During high school my music became a very serious aspect of my life. I put on a concert every year for the student body. After these great experiences I knew that music would become my life.
My first professional endeavor was at the age of 19. This is where I got into a disco band. That was very short lived because of my want to express myself through my own music. I formed 2 original bands under the name of Traces and we were a heavy 80's rock band with influences coming from David Bowie, John Lennon and Yes. We had some very good success winning several band contests around the Montreal area.
After several years I linked up with a band called Maranatha. Their influences were more along the lines of Santana and Latin fusion rock. We played the main circuit in downtown Montreal in clubs such as Sir Winston Churchills, Septembers Ruby Foos and all down on the main strip of Crescent Street. During our time at Ruby Foos, we had special guest that would perform with us such as saxophonists Glenn Bradley, percussionist Alain Plough, and Roger Aslin, guitarist Wayne Prue and singer Dino Vale, along with many others. This band lasted for 8 years and had wonderful successes.
Throughout my career, which has spanned for three decades, my music has become very diverse. My styles range from commercial music on the radio to Latin fusion, lite jazz, very heavy jazz fusion, hip hop, techno dance and ambient. Which are all available on my cds.
At this point of my life I am in a solo artist writing songs for the TV and Film Industry, solo artists and for my own personal enjoyment.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. I play on the internet with a video conferencing program called Paltalk.
Your musical influences
Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Yes, Santana and the Beetles
What equipment do you use?
My setup is rather simple with 2 VS880's at the helm attached to 2 P4's by digital cards.....From there a K2500RS ,a wavestation,mc303 and 505 and JX305 help hiphop things up and several computer based and rack unit samplers top it all off
