R&B singer/songwriter Rachel Palumbo was born in the Queen City, Buffalo, New York. This determined R&B singer/songwriter has captivated her listeners many times over with her 2009 debut release 'Take Notes' (available on all major music sites including iTunes) and her 2nd release, a 6 song EP appropriately titled 'Armory', a play on words as it mirrors her name, R. Marie.
Since the dawn of Rachel’s career, she has proven herself worthy of the spotlight having multiple songs reach #1 on Buffalo's hip-hop and R&B radio station 93.7 WBLK's Unsigned Hype, an underground radio music showcase. She has also had music played on Colorado's 96.1 The Beat radio station.
In addition to studio and radio work, she has also performed live all over New York, Texas, Florida and Colorado. She has opened for a few well-known national artists including NDambi, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees and Ray J.
A true philanthropist by nature, Rachel gave back to her hometown of Buffalo, NY by recording "It's All About Tomorrow", a theme song for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. This heartfelt track was written to empower those who are struggling with and have survived Cancer. (You can preview this work here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icupIPFd78U)
In 2009, 2010 and 2011, Rachel was nominated and ultimately awarded with Female R&B Artist of the Year and Single of the Year in Upstate New York at the Unsigned Hype Music Awards. Ultimately winning the award in both 2009 and 2011, Rachel reigned as the Female R&B Artist of the Year in upstate NY twice over. Gaining upstate respect for music was a feat of epic proportions for this Queen City girl. She took that confidence and made it to the big apple when placing 3rd at Showtime at the Apollo's Amateur Night (in Harlem, NY). She also had the opportunity to perform and compete with singers from around the globe while in Texas. This competition, held by the US Army, was called Operation Rising Star. It was this competition in which she placed 2nd, receiving accolades and praise from soldiers and fans alike.
At the moment, you will find the ever-busy Ms. Palumbo writing new material for her 3rd release due in mid 2019. Be sure to check out her emotional music video for her latest single "Fly" at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyp6Vumrq8YContact
