Immediately after touring across Canada in 2004, including performances at Edgefest & sharing stages with Finger Eleven, Scratching Post, Swollen Members, Rascals, and Clarknova; Toybox rolled into Voodoo Records Recording Studios to create a full length masterpiece.
After signing with Voodoo Records, Canada’s hottest independent label, just over a year ago, Toybox has exceeded all industry standards, with an obsessive commitment to quality song writing and pristine musical performances.
Their onstage energy is immediately addictive to anyone who has had the opportunity to catch a live performance. Likewise, this energy and massive sound has been captured in their debut album “The Assasination Of” to be released this spring.
Beautifully crafted, poetic lyrics, razor sharp guitar riffs, groovy bass lines, beefy drum beats that would make John Bonham proud. This has been contrasted with string and piano arrangements delicately placed throughout to form a dramatic backdrop for vocals so powerful and intense your brain begs for more.
Securing War By Choice as their booking agent and promoter, Toybox will be touring in your city this fall and winter, spilling over into spring 2007.
The band’s first single is the emotionally provocative epic, “Say You’re Sorry” at radio March 13, 2007; with an exclusive Yahoo Music Canada Video Premier to follow on March 21, 2007.
