Country (CG) Girl
In February 5, 1983, , the artist formerly known as CG (Country Girl), was born in Mobile, Alabama her parents knew there was something special about there child, sing on fire place to Janet Jackson at age 5. Once her parents split she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia with her mother, where she spent most of her adolescent years. Like any typical teen, trouble follower her wherever she would go, so she found constructive things to do with her time. Basketball and music shared the spot of her first love. Of, course eventually basketball soon faded and music took over. CG attended Heritage High where she was a team player and always on the entry list for a talent show. It was at age eleven that CG realized that she had the sound of a rapper. She can still remember the very first rhyme she wrote. Not only could she rap, but she had moves like Usher, whom is her favorite R&B artist alongside with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson. This aggressive Aquarius didn't stop there because in the music industry you have to be at least a triple threat to even touch the top. Her parents purchased a studio to help Shaneka fulfill her dream. She called this studio Country G records. She spent many hours learning the books, making beats, and writing rhymes. She study the styles of various artist; most of them being people she grew up listening to such as: Kris Kross, Another Bad Creation, Queen Latifah, MC Lite, Salt N Pepper, and many others. In the present day rappers that get much respect form her are TI, Missy, and Lil Wayne. She too obtains her own original sound. CG strives for only the best. At age twenty-two things really stared picking up and rapping was no longer a hobby it was the air she breathed. She wants to show the rap game what it has been missing. Like TI but with a different sex, she claims the title as queen of the south. This statement stirred up much controversy with other local female rappers. It didn't pull her from her high hoarse though. Now at the tender age of twenty-three CG has extended her studio adding more equipment, changing the name to Country Style Records, and signing her own artist: Young Bam, Young Cam, Maverick, Uncut, Switch, J Spinn, Flamme, and Chief, who is also the VP(vice president). Some of her hit songs are "Keep Talking", "Haters", and "Contact". You can find this multi-talented go-getter laying down tracks, producing, or shinning her symbol of stars because she WILL one day be on top of the charts.Have you performed in front of an audience?NO
