Four talented 19 year olds that have a stage presence that will rival any major label band. Not only does Hasting have the music to blow you away but they also have the brains to manage the business side of the music. One of the most likeliest bands to succeed in Canada in 2007.
Band/artist history
Entering the music scene with their debut album entitled "When Heaven Comes Down", Abbotsford based HASTING is sure to turn heads among the big names of the industry. This acoustic-lead rock group boasts a powerful new record and plays an intense, crowd-centered show, with catchy yet unique arrangements and the ability to execute them with perfection. After 2 years of playing shows, building a fan base, and releasing two EP's while still in High School, the band was looking for a renewed enthusiasm and opted to change their name from ‘Gone Before Grey’ to ‘Hasting’. With the new beginning the boys set out into the world of music with high hopes, and a head full of steam. One of the first things that the new band needed to do was to record a full-length album. The dynamic-rock quartet hooked up with local music producer Steve Klassen and recorded at Sapphire Sound in the fall of 2005. Since its release date in late February 2006, sales of "When Heaven Comes Down" have been incredible. Both online (iTunes, Puretracks etc.) and at shows the support for the group has been overwhelming. While influenced by bands such as Our Lady Peace, Third Eye Blind, Matchbox 20, and Dave Matthews, Hasting’s style is one in it’s own, blending catchy melodies and unique musical arrangements. With inspiration for songwriting coming from all over the map, every single song is performed with passion and an astounding intensity which truly sets their songs apart from any other act. Their merchandise table is one that would rival any major label band in the business, they have everything from your choice of their three CD’s to 3 different style t-shirts, hoodies, tank tops, hats to bracelets, stickers and 8x10 photos for the die hard fans. In March of 2006 Jordan Dick and James Falk, both members of Hasting, took over management of Hasting with the vision of making a career out of this band. In the past 6 months alone they have booked well over 30 shows independently ranging in venues from colleges, high schools, churches, youth groups, summer camps, clubs and all ages venue. Not bad for a band in which all four members are just 19 years old.
