MP3.com has closed it's doors to people like you and us who enjoy free legal online music. As a result of this, Soundclick (where you are right now!) is the only place on the web to listen to The Forgotten Age. Also, the CD which was available through MP3.com is obviously no longer available. The Forgotten Age was formed in 2002, although the song which became the first ever track for the original Dreamcatcher CD was made in the year 2000. That song, "Through Space And Time" was remixed in 2002 which kicked off the journey to the original Dreamcatcher. The song was soon followed by "The Reign Of Industry", "With All The Love" and the early favourite "Beyond Reality".
The first CD was finished by early 2003 and was released on MP3.com. Whilst some of the tracks received critical acclaim, the CD wasn't a big hit and the band felt some of the songs were rushed or unfinished, and withdrew the CD from sale after just a few months.
Briefly after completing the CD, The Forgotten Age began making tracks for a concept EP, "Beneath The Waves", which would feature the tracks "Escape From Atlantis", "The Storm Above" and "Rainshadow" along with some demo tracks which never reached the studio, "Immersion" and "Hawaiian Shore".
That album was soon morphed into the project to remix the tracks from the original Dreamcatcher. Together, the tracks, along with new songs including "Tears On The Dancefloor" and the #1 Ambient hit "Missing You" were put onto a project called Dreamcatcher II - Forever In Dreams. This new album, featuring the best tracks from the previous 2 projects, remixed and remastered, along with the new songs, was released on MP3.com in late 2003.
On December the 2nd 2003, MP3.com closed and The Forgotten Age fully relocated to Soundclick and the official website (http://www.theforgottenage.cjb.net) and plan a brief hiatus from making and releasing CD's. With the closure of MP3.com, there is no longer a way to directly purchase Forever In Dreams.
During this brief hiatus, The Forgotten Age will still continue to produce tracks and collaborate with other artists. The newest track, "First Contact" can be heard on this very website.
