Lightnin Bug is an acoustic duo comprised of Mic Walden and John Cook. We are both luither's who love to build strange mogrel guitars and mix styles up, we play reggae hillbilly style and old tyme tunes reggae style as well as our own tunes influanced by the San Fransisco rock scene of the 60's and 70's We have been playing together for the past 16 year but have just added the fun of digital recording to what we love to do..... Play live, sloppy and make it up as we go.

We have been building acoustic and electric stringed instruments together for the past 16 years. We met when working at a musice store together and have been play live acoustic music ever since

Hot Tuna, Bob Marley, Tom Waits, Bod Dylan, Taj , Rev. Gary Davis, Quicksilver, All sorts of ald tyme local Ozark pickers, Holy Modal Rounders, Sun Rah, Eno, and on and on etc.
What equipment do you use?
National Trojan Resophonic, Several Yari acoustics, numerous hand made resophonic guitars, Phippsberg banjo, Various Gibson electrics, all kind of mongel guitars.
