dethro jix isDethro Jix is one 22 year old man hailing from Chester but now based in Bath. Initially focusing on melodic acoustic guitar works he realised that melodic acoustic guitar based music has a tendency to be predictable and uninteresting, so he started a music course to learn how to use Macs and the almighty ProTools to change this. Beginning to get to grips with his new found toys he is currently working on an EP, "and both are called mysteries", that he is composing, recording and producing, one of the tracks of which can be heard on this site. Due to the nature of the music Dethro Jix does not currently make any live appearances, but his music will soon be heard in Moles club in Bath. More on that as developments arise.Your musical influences
The music that influences Dethro Jix is a varied lot. A quick scan through his record collection will throw up the likes of Nick Drake, Coldcut, Jamiroquai, Gnarls Barkley, the Herbliser, Pulp, Daft Punk, Biohazard, Dave Brucbeck and Vivaldi to name but a few. This wide and some might say eclectic range all influence aspects of his work, although it would be fair to say that the artists of the Njinatune record label have the greatest impact on the Dethro Jix sound.What equipment do you use?
