What equipment do you use?
The band is self-contained providing lighting and sound support as needed and typically requires about one hour for load in and load out. Some of Barry’s favorite guitars in his collection include a 1980 Les Paul Heritage Elite 80 series, a 1990 Fender Stratocaster, a 1995 G&L ASAT Classic and a 1992 Heritage H550. He has played through numerous amplifiers including a Music Man Twin 12 (the first amp he owned), a Mesa Boogie 50 caliber combo and a Fender Twin 12 Blues Deville combo. He currently rocks the house with a Fender Deluxe Reverb when playing gigs, and a Fender Vibro-King for rehearsals. Darren prefers the sound of the Fender Vibrolux Reverb amp, and rocks out guitar licks on a 62 reissue Strat. When playing drums, he plays a variety of vintage kits and always uses wooden sticks. As a basist, Peter prefers the ‘73 Precision, with alder body and bolt on solid maple neck. For a sweeter sound, he upgraded the pick-ups to Duncan Antiquity 1. He currently uses a Markbass Little Mark II amp with a single 15" Ampeg cabinet. He is in the process of upgrading a 2-10 cabinet with Eminence Deltalite II speakers. Glenn varies his drum kit configuration to best suit the venue or project. He rocks a 6 piece Gretch Renown (maple) with a Perl Masters Custom (maple) snare complemented with Zildjian and / or Paiste brass. In other instances he employs a Roland V20 Pro electronic kit rebuilt on a compact aluminum frame (adorned with jalapeño party lights) and experiments with various hybrid acoustic and electronic arrangements. Glenn has customized his Roland e-kit to provide a high degree of quality, versatility, easy transport, quick setup, small footprint and volume control for situations that are more restrictive. Once in a while Glenn likes to break out the LP congas and Djembe for the occasional "acoustic" gig. When on keys, he loves using his Hammond XK-1 with a digital rotary processor for that rich chortling B3 sound and a Roland Phantom X8 for piano and numerous other sounds.
