Band/artist history
Formed in 1994, Poison Ed was formed in 1994 in the town of Woodbine, Delaware. Popular in only the "cooler" crowds, Poison Ed has a style that cannot be compared to any other. Poison Ed's music can be described as a blending of art rock, slug-core, alt-poppotamus, rapmetal, late 80's grungedelia, electronica a la modem, experimental post-industrial martyrdom, punkapotamus brewster, Guitar Rockabilly Hop, Robot Jazz, and classical teen rock. In 1997, the band was signed by POMP recordings. To complement the sonic adventure, the members have also been active in the cyberworld. Praised by many as the best sites on the web, the members of Poison Ed truly have skills that span many areas: from stonework to masonry. Poison Ed was formed around March or April 1994. In the first few years, the band made itself known by playing a number of shows in their local area and at various festivals. Shortly after Channuka, POMP released Poison Ed's first album "half a cow's pelvis" (POMP 101). Formed in 1994, the band really tells its fans, "Hey, we don't care about you." And after all the fan mail pours in, only a few letters go out telling the fans, "Leave us alone. We are just a rockapotamus band. Fucking die already."

We've played Towson University a few times. And we played at the brass monkey, and we really don't like the live thing. It's just not our "thing".
