Tilak is a band that proposes an ethno-electronic sound that mixes Indian, Greek, Assirian, Italian folk sounds and languages together with modern sounds such like bass, electric guitar, loops and so on. Their live shows have been highly appreciated in Italy and Greece, their music is distributed all over the world, with a special interest in Japan and England. Based in Cecina (Tuscany), Tilak are led by the musician Francesci Landucci, supported by the greek singer Marina Mulopulos and the percussionis Matteo Scarpettini. Ethnoworld has produced the second Tilak cd "Illusione", distributed the third "My pillow case" and released during 2005 the fourth "The incredible export guru".............................................................................................................................................. Tilak nasce nel 96 come progetto sperimentale di Francesco Landucci. Inizialmente vede lunione di Musica e Poesia recitando,le poesie di Rabindranath Tagore,tratte dalla raccolta Gitanjalied accompagnate dal mistico suono del sitar.Con altri musicisti suona soprattutto in occasione di festival dArtisti di strada e feste.Il progetto muta negli anni ,grazie sopratutto allutilizzo di tecnologie (drum machine,computer,synth ecc) accostate comunque agli strumenti suonati. Alcune importanti partecipazioni sono: XI Biennale dei giovani artisti del Mediterraneo tenutasi ad ATENE, Follia Rotolante Tour trasmesso su RAI 2 , VIII edizione del Milano Film Festival.Contact
