We are not a band but a team. I was introduced to making beats by my partner when we were freshmen in college. He was serious about it while I was just playing around on using the four basic sounds given in the default setup on the program he had on his computer. I later learned how to use more sounds and became familiar with the program. It became addictive. Once he saw that I was catching on we starting making music together. Now I can do it on my own but we still have colaborate as much as possible to make great music and just have fun.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We haven't done anything live. All of our music is digital but we are real musicians. We both played trumpet for four years for the Southern University Marching Band which is a well known HBCU marching band. I am a music major so much of what I have learned while studying music is helpful when making music. We do plan on doing some live music. But we're really starting from the bottom of the barrell.
Your musical influences
We try to listen to everything in every genre. We want our music to have many different styles so that a listener can't hear something and instantly know that it's us. We are inspired by producers such as Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Just Blaze, Pharrell Williams, Mannie Fresh, Lil' Jon, The Runners (which has become my person favorite in 2006).
What equipment do you use?
Right now, we are using a Korg X5D Music Synthesizer and Fruity Loops Studio 6.
Anything else?
We are hungry, young, inspired musicians trying to get known in the music industry. If you like what you hear, hit us up, even you don't, give us a few pointers. We are also looking for other producers to do work with. We strongly believe in networking and are open to work with anyone. Hopefully we can make a few hits and all get paid. Much love and good luck to all musicians and producers who are looking for their "BIG BREAK!"
