The future! say no more K - Tech aim to be releasing hard house and hard trance in the very near future, although you can still catch Stargazer and Surge doing their own thing, with Surge playing regularly at local hard house events, and Stargazer producing and DJ-ing up-front hardcore all around the country! keep your eyes on us.Band/artist history
Surge has been DJ-ing for 5 years, while Stargazer is more of a happy hardcore veteran after playing for over 8, despite being only 17. Surge (22), got his big break in 2000 at the biggest outdoor event in the country, Homelands, playing in the Erricsson' MYH tent. Meanwhile, Stargazer has been concentrating more on the production side, although has been known to play at events around the country, including Mass in Brixton. Although production has been high on the agenda for Stargazer, K-Tech was only formed in June 2001 after realising their combined future potential. With a mutual love for all things hard and fast, K- Tech aim to blow ya f*ckin head off!Have you performed in front of an audience?Ooohhh yes... Surge has played at Homelands in 2000, and makes regular appearances at events in Kent, whilst Stargazer has been showing himself at nights all over the country, the K-tech DJ's have a combined DJ-ing age of 13 years! DJ-ing has been put on the back burner lately though, with production being very much the key thing. This is set to change, as we have both just splashed out on a new pair of decks each!
Your musical influences
Over the last decade or so, the both of us have been accustomed to hearing the cutting edge of dance music through all genres, ranging through hardcore, acid house, drum and bass, hip hop, trance.. the list goes on.. its not really possible to put a name on our influences, its more a culmination of everything really.What equipment do you use?
As of yet.. none! A distinct lack of money has kept us on the ground on the studio side of things, all of the tracks you will hear from us for a while will be 100% computer based. We use a mix of programs, the main one being the new release of Acid 3, which does the job nicely. "Its not the equipment, its how you use it that counts!"Anything else?
