VOCALS AND RYTHUM GUITAR: Rob
Involved in numerous bands over the past ten years a history that has given him the expertise and confidence to put himself right out there, Rob has a strong vocal ability his husky and strong voice powers up the vocals and his deep and very insightful writing technique give the band a unique flow often talked about by the patrons.
VOCALS ANS BASS: Grant the Grudge man
Grant while being new to the music game has inspiring writing abilities and his easy listening and unique singing style has cemented his place in the band drawing on old style ballads and modern pop rock his passion for music has driven him to be a true musician.
DRUMS AND VOCALS: Warren
THE G MAN has been playing drums for the past 15 yrs the self taught drummer has a real insight for change and has worked across Victoria in bands ranging from rock, pop and spending one year in the Inglewood based country band 501 performing across Victoria to Geelong giving him a very complex style with subtleties learned from the country music scene, his writing ability is subtle and deep giving the band a gentle twist often missed in the pop rock sceneBand/artist history
Biographical Information
The history from the beginning
The band was formed in Bendigo in 2004 with the members meeting in the mutual retail workplace they called home for the past seven years. Covers inspired for all eras and genres ranging from early rock and the ballads that came from them to the modern mix of pop and rock in the new millennium.
Focusing on the under tapped market of the old country pups The Embers quickly formed a solid reputation as a winning number in the out water reaches of country Victoria, filling pubs that have never in a long time seen such numbers and continually being pre booked on the completion of the night.
2005
The humble beginnings of the band saw them reaching out to the Bendigo community as a hobby band playing their first gig at the old fire station open stage, with the feedback from the crowd it was decided that this musical trio should form a working band and so it was!
2006
Soon with the first pub gig booked at the newly opened (and now sadly closed) Mittiamo Hotel.
While the town was comfortable with the country music offer in the past the locals fronted to see the new band and the event was earmarked as a rehearsal nigh. The crowd gathered and soon the pub with a local population of around 100 was bursting with noise. The beer was flowing and the new owners could not thank the band enough.
The band became a regular hit and was booked for a regular spot and the Mitti Pub the name the locals called it.
Late 2006
The break up
In the up and coming year the band had a issue the Bass guitarist had to move for work in the shepparton area, another blow to the increasingly popular band was the need for the drummer to relocate to the city for work, leaving the band with a geographical issue and a triangulation commute of 130plus km, a break was imminent however the requests kept on coming and the popularity on the music from this band was too strong to ignore. The band was reunited the booking of a weeding in the sheparton area, in playing this gig the band decided that the music was to important to ignore and reformed.Have you performed in front of an audience?YES THROGHOUT VICTORIA PLAYING THE SMALL TOWN PUBS AND SOME OF THE BIGGER ONES IN CENTRAL VIC,WE WILL BE FOCUSING OUR ATTENTION ON RECORDING AN ALBUM
