Something New Something New
An entirely improvised acoustic duet. Kind of like Buckethead's "Electric Tears" CD only acoustic.

Remember When... Remember When...
A very melodic guitar piece in a fairly simple arrangement.

Early Autumn Morning Early Autumn Morning
A song I wrote a while ago. One guitar arrangement. It's not actually an acoustic recorded here, but it's supposed to be, so use your imagination

Circle Room Circle Room
Think of what might happen if Tool and Steve Vai played together. It's a lot harder than most of my stuff.

Techno Guitar Groove Techno Guitar Groove
Computer drums give it a slightly techno feel, while most of the sound is actually produced by guitars. It almost have a movie sound track feel to it.

I'm Brian and i play guitar. i haven't written anything worthwhile in a while, but this is all the recordings of me that i've accumulated over the years.
Band/artist history
I've been playing since i was about 13. None of my bands have ever been famous.
Your musical influences
I have no influences. The police officer who came to my school in 5th grade told me peer pressure is bad.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars: Ibanez S370, Olympia A/E, Peavey Raptor Plus (only used on the oldest stuff).
Basses: I've used an LTD, a Jackson, and a Squire.
Effects: Johnson J-Station, Morley VAI-II wah, E-bow.
Software: Cakewalk Guitar Tracks, Orangator (shareware synth program), various shareware directX plug-ins collected from all around the web.
Keyboard: a cheap casio.
Anything else?
nope.

Something New is a good composition. Keep writing!
Hey Brian, really enjoyed Something New...really nice work!
wtf....maybe you shouldn't check out your own website....
http://www.purevolume.com/zamexperiments
there.
Hey Brian, this is Trent, perhaps you should check out these guys (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/brianmcfarlandmusic.htm) who are doing a thing called the ZAM Experiement. They are looking for competent players to just jam out and make a record with. It consists of members of Sunset Elixer and any other special guests they deem qualified...if you're looking for good players like yourself (same age) to jam with, this is the outlet you should choose. Sunset Elixer are playing at Canal Street on June 30's and if you'd want to check it out, and you should, you can get a taste of the talent they have at their fingertips and perhaps something you'd want to take part in yourself.
Trent.
