"Good People" was raised in the inner city of South West Detroit, and some parts of down rivier Michigan. He was brought up with the values of a christian as a young fellow, But the truth of Christ had not sank in at such a young age. He grew older and fell victim to the life of the streets and chose a much harder path than the one that god had made for him. He was blind to the light of life and korrupted by the every day hustle. He was in and out of incarceration learning the hard lessons of becoming a man. After the last time he had been imprisoned, he looked around and seen all the old men in prison with him and said " this is not who i wanna be". He had got out to the streets and immediately started falling back in his old ways trying to handle life by his self by his way. Back with the gangs, guns, drug, sex, and violence, untill he lost everything he had absolutely nothing left to live for he felt, Then miraculously he was givin back his family and felt the love of Jesus again for the first time. He got to where he could not stand secular rap any longer. Then God pointed him to Holy Hip Hop..The first christian rap he had ever herd was Lecrae's Take me as I am.. He instantly broke down from the spirit callin through the lyrics of that song, For the first time he fell in love with music and Jesus at the same moment. He was a secular rap artist for five years, He prayed an asked God if this was what he had for him. He felt the calling of ministry through Hip Hop on oct 2nd, 2006, And droped from his previous lable Two Worlds. Immediately Jesus started speaking and working threw him and his music. His previous name was Capo.. He prayed about his name and asked god what was a fit name for the rebirth of an artist. He said " I asked God, who am I now?" "god replied by asking me what type of person where you?" " I said I was a bad person." " God then asked what type of person are you now?" " I said Im a good person!" That is how he came up with his new name Good people. He began writing non stop with a new found inspiration and passion for music. He had been a fan of Zion Entertainment, cut a demo and gave it to the C.E.O John R..John liked the music he said he could use a new artist for the 2007 roster after the transition of Zion Ent.. To Real Nation Records. And here Good People is today with his debut, Holy Hip Hop album in process of being a "Rap" as the industry calls it. Keep your ears open for this rising talent in ministry..
