Merton Street is Oxford's premier cobbled road. This is reputedly the longest authentic cobbled street in Europe. It also has enormous musical talent... moulded and squeezed into the slight frames of Ray Lockton, Alan Wright, Nick Kenrick and Oli Kunc!Band/artist history
Alan (guitar / vocals), Ray (vocals), Nick (drums) and Oli (bass) started playing together in a 10 piece touring soul band called After Hours. The band soon became one of the most popular student bands in Oxford. Desire to write their own material, however, soon made us want to start a new band... so we did... and we have.Have you performed in front of an audience?Merton Street currently play live at many of Oxford's top venues... check out the tour page for info! Recently we tried to play live using Ray's dodgy 12 volt to 240 volt converter but all we succeeded in doing was blowing up the converter and Alan's best amp... arse...!
