Plastic Houses

With Me Now With Me Now
1995: after PH's breakup they reformed to redo this tune. Originally recorded as an out-take in 92, it was brought up to date.

Wishes Wishes
1989: Definitely a missing link song from the sound and style experiments of the late 80's to their explosion in 92.

Waiting (through the silence) Waiting (through the silence)
1992: PH's best song musically from their '92 explosion. Mixing both New Wave and industrial feels it breaks a lot of the rules.

Sweat Sweat
1998: Amid rumors that the band was considering reforming, they recorded Sweat. Definitely showing off a maturity musically, they definitely still have it. And just in time for the resurgence of the 80s.

Silent Obsession Silent Obsession
1992: The most solemn of their New Wave offerings. It is a jewel from their 1992 explosion.

Pictures Pictures
This song's genesis goes back to 1985. We have older stuff, but its best used to induce vomitting. This is the first time it came together. It's the beginning and the root of our New Wave, New Style 80's sound

November 4 November 4
1992: Off of Complete this song is perhaps Plastic Houses' most complete. Lyrically penned backstage in 1990, 2 years to the day after a serious crossroads in the heart of the lead singer. It is one of first songs that combine their Mod influences h

Machine Dreams Machine Dreams
1989 & 1991: This song first saw the light of day buried on Dark Images I. It resurfaced on Complete. It is one of Plastic Houses' best instrumentals.

If You Were Here If You Were Here
1991: Pushing the envelope some more this song found its way onto the compilation Complete (1992) even though the lyrics were written in the UK in '88

I Confess I Confess
1990: Unreleased, till now, it shows the burgeoning lyric trends of the times in the maturing sounds of New Wave.

Hold Me Hold Me
Recorded in 1987, this first appeared on Plastic Houses' first full-length issue, Cathedral. Its rough around the edges, but is a great example of the bands search to combine New Wave sounds with complex rock arrangements

Forgiveness Forgiveness
1989: This saw its debut on Dark Images II, released in 1990. Bringing their sound into a bouncier, more Erasure feel, it still shows the search of Plastic Houses to challenge themselves with introspective lyrics.

Fly Away Fly Away
1992: Also from PH's renaissance year. It is uncharacteristic musically, but may be their most poetic lyrically.

Fade Away Fade Away
1988: also from Cathedral, this song combines the straight New Wave 80's sounds with the melancholy sweetness of an off-beat search for love and remembrance.

Do You Ever Cry? Do You Ever Cry?
1990: Working to bring classical themes to New Wave music, the lyrics show a deeper introspective shift. It is a fine example, however successful or unsuccessful, of Plastic Houses' search for their sound.

22 22
1992: This is the documentation of the death of a close friend from AIDS. One of Plastic Houses' most revealing pieces
