busted.knuckles is a hard rawking melodic skate punk band from Columbus, OH. The three piece group is headed by Zach Wahrer on guitar and lead vocals. Jeff Yost provides the low end on bass guitar, while Tomas Stolzfus rounds out the group on the drums and backing vocals. The trio has been together since 2001 yet the concept for the group was conceived in 1999.
Playing all original music, the band writes songs at quite a prolific rate. They released their first self-produced CD Someday in July of 2002. It was comprised of their early first generation songs. Its theme was mainly self-reflective insight and expressive views of society. The band followed up Someday with down.season, released in February of 2004. This CD featured all of busted.knuckles second generation songs. The release was titled down.season because the songs on it were written at a time of pain and indecision. Although the band sings many sad songs, they maintain hope for a better tomorrow. You are what you make yourself and you can be whatever you want.
The guys play as many shows as they possibly can. Their saying is Play
where there are two or more people. Doing shows from early on, the band has developed an impressive live show that is fun, yet serious and meaningful.
Overall, busted.knuckles plays deep, insightful songs that lead one to think about their life.
