Well not really a band but, I do play instruments. I'm actually a producer so it's just me.Band/artist history
I've been involved with music since 1992. Mostly as a hobby though. I've been a dj then I learned to play bass and guitar and eventually how to work a keyboard and how to record. I've been blessed with having the respect of a lot of very talented good friends. That has been important to me because even though I kept music as more of a hobby than a means of earning cash I have been around incredible artists my whole life. I've sat in on sessions with Carlos Santana, I've hung out in the studio with Rick Rock (no I don't know him), E 40 , Mac Dre, and Sacramento rapper Mr Doctor to name a few.Have you performed in front of an audience?I used to do shows as a dj prior to making beats and I did have a short run where I rapped and did like 10 shows but these days I mainly produce and record.
Your musical influences
I listen to everything. I own over 5,000 records, hundreds of cds too many mp3s to count.
I try to make tracks in as many styles as possible and I try to make whatever I feel at the time verses what every one says is hot. Music will always change and grow and I figure you can either take a chance and possibly create the next movement or you can follow each trend that comes. Don't worry though I make plenty of tracks to satisfy those who want the current hot sound.What equipment do you use?
Any live insturmentation I use I record in pro tools and run it through a UA 6176 but apart from those tracks I use the motif, mpc 2000, kurzweil pc2r, mo phatt and the access virus. I ocassionally use reason but usually there's no need. I also have an extensive sound library that include keyboards from just about every major company as well as my own kits that I have created.
