Rest Among Ruins

2.8M plays
With an intense sound that punishes unmercifully, yet rewards with captivating harmony, the quintet known as Rest Among Ruins offers a rich, encompassing style to the Baltimore music scene. Formed in 2006, Rest Among Ruins advanced from an idea to a body of musicians, comprised of vocalist/songwriter, Mike Semesky; guitarist/backup vocalist, Derrin Ruschell; lead guitarist, Henry Kaldre; bass guitarist, Nathan Heavel; and drummer, Geoff Palmer. The unique style, most easily defined as an aggressive, metal/alternative sound, is an evolving product of diverse musical influences. With the deep screams, heavy drums, and powerful guitar riffs and leads of bands such as Killswitch Engage and All That Remains, combined with the flowing vocal harmonies of bands such as Avenged Sevenfold and Fightstar, Rest Among Ruins stands out in the current metal scene. They have shared the stage with some of the most influential acts in modern metal including All That Remains, The Devil Wears Prada, August Burns Red, Soilwork, Threat Signal, and many more. After a year of touring the United States in 2009, the band intends to write and produce its first full length album starting in the fall for a 2010 release. Stay posted for new music, merchandise, shows, and updates on the album "...these guys are really dynamic & there’s alot of melody, harmony, & elements that make this band really special" -Bob Seuhs @ SEN Baltimore Rest Among Ruins is seeking representation!!!
