Executive Relief
Mainly guitar-based rock. Perhaps some more experimental instrumentation depending on whether it benefits the song or not.

Another Galaxy Another Galaxy
About the alienation you can feel from the people around you, even those next door. Early, basic rap over mainly drum and bass backing.

Negativland (The Andy Gill Variations) Negativland (The Andy Gill Variations)
A jam based on the classic track by Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother who made up the Krautrock band Neu. This features me on guitar, Dave 'd-dog' Arthur on bass and Andy Miller on drums.

Mister Clean Steps Out Mister Clean Steps Out
A guitar instrumental that was written as a theme tune to an imaginary film about a person I used to be and now aspire to be again.

Haywire (Alternative Version/Remix) Haywire (Alternative Version/Remix)
Description of the situation most of us find ourselves in at some time........ not enough money, trying to find a direction in life and losing all perspective.

Dreaming Of Vicky Dreaming Of Vicky
A reworking of a cool Sinister Clowns tune about an 'obscure object of desire'. The lyrics describe the many conflicting emotions a man can have towards the woman in his life or, perhaps, the woman he'd like to have in his life.
This is an offshoot of various other musical projects and includes songs with a more personal level of content. The music here was recorded in varying circumstances and over quite a long period of time.
Evan Arthur - Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards ....... you name it, I've probably played it on one of my recordings in the past.
The excellent Michael Glover plays fabulous drums on "Six Eight Jam", "Every Single Day", "She Don't Care About Time", "A Message From Donna" and "Dreaming Of Vicky" - thanks, Mike!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
The Comsat Angels, Pere Ubu, A Certain Ratio, The Fall, Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Captain Beefheart, MX-80 Sound, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, David Bowie, Iggy Pop......... just about anyone good, really.
I like the convenience and the power of digital sound-editing software, but I also like older analogue gear and older instruments and amplifiers.
Basically, I'll use whatever I fancy if it feels right for the song.
