... Girl On Top is an all-original Boston-based band formed in 1988 with a diverse sound ranging from punk to pop to heavy and dark to straight ahead Girl On Top Rock! With superb stage presence and engaging entertaining abilities they can be seen headlining in major Boston, New England and New York venues and have opened for such bands as Tracy Bonham, Extreme, Goo Goo Dolls, Iggy Pop, also winning first prize in a National Music Search with bands trying out from over 300 cities worldwide. Having more than three hundred songs under their belt Girl On Top has had thirteen songs placed in independent films!
Karen DeBiasse, singer/ songwriter/rhythm guitarist, is an honor Graduate of Berklee College of Music and Emerson College studying music, dance and acting. She is Certified by her world renowned vocal teacher of fifteen years the legendary Dante Pavone and is well known and very respected in the Boston area as a professional voice and instrument instructor.
Lead guitarist virtuosos, David Simmons, is one of the best guitarists around with his soaring soloss influenced by his heros Jimi Hendrix/Jimmy Page 70s rock guitar style. Mike Quirk on bass and Angelo Aversa on drums are the solid and driving force behind Girl On Top and both have played in many prominent local bands. This band rocks!
