Hi, Jamie It's Dec. 2nd, and I'm finally seeing your comment. I'm such a newbie really, I've never noticed this bulletin board before. Thank you MUCH for not knowing how to categorize my "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" arrangement. To put it in the "Jazz" category seemed appropriate enough, but I think it's best when we compose in a way that defies categorization. I feel that's the only modern/eclectic way to write. Having this track #1 in Jazz Covers for some time now is gratifying - Looks like people enjoy it. I would be curious which instruments you felt didn't work as well. It's an unusual, actually, a unique reaction and it really would be interesting to hear which instruments you didn't like. It could be instructive for me to try even more things in playing them. Thanks for dropping by! rbowser

Not really a jazz arrangement is it? Has elements of jazz, but this is, well, I'm not sure how to categorize this. Good info on the Garritan library though, some of the sounds are quite good, some dont work as well.
