Formed in late September over a pan of spam and roasted marshmallows, MSRP is a hippie jam band that has no hippies or jamming whatsever. So I guess they are really a rave/metal band that rocks harder than a bowl of grits. Which translates to really, really hard. Alex, the master of guitars, leaps like a freak. Matt, the drum thinger guy, can keep a beat better than our Casio could. Dave can play bass better than a ham sandwich. Nic just cries a lot. The star of the band is our keyboard player, Sony, who has an amazing 40 seconds of anti-skip protection. Simply put MSRP plays music. And it is good.
Band/artist history
Matt picked up his first drum stick at the tender age of three and ate it because it was chicken. He started playing drums at the age of 11, mainly because he found out girls didnt like him and he needed something to occupy his time. After growing up a bit, he gave drum lessons while still in high school, but decided to give it all up and move to Minnesota and pursue a double major in dragon slaying and metal. Matt currently resides in a dark corner, crying his emo heart out. Alex is from Earth and currently plays the guitar for MSRP. He likes kittens, swords, and telling horrible stories about his bandmates. He is a true renaissance man. A moody, introspective loner, he has been plagued since his childhood by his unrealized dream to be a mathematics professor. 'You can tell from his guitar playing how mathematical his mind is,' says Nic. 'It's all sequential and time based.' He hopes to some day journey through a black hole, 'like in that song by Rush.'

If Mudvayne and Ultraspank had a baby that was fostered out to Paul Oakenfold and Neurosis with Mindless Self Indulgence as that weird uncle that always brings you presents before he hits your parents up for money.
