A song I wrote. A typical kind of 'if I had only known, I could have had you and been happy' song.
Hey all! My name's Melody. I've been singing since I was three. It all started behind the pulpit at my church. Right now, I'll be putting on songs that I've covered. I sing acapella, because I'm learning how to play piano and guitar right now. Sorry if the songs sound a little staticy, all I have to record with is a little voice recorder. I've written 2 songs, but havent put a tune to them yet. Hopefully soon. I hope you enjoy the songs as much as I enjoyed singing them!Have you performed in front of an audience?I don't really sing anywhere right now. I just got out of high school, and I've only sung at my church, and in choirs. I haven't been able to work on a solo career yet. But hopefully with this I'll be able to start.
Your musical influences
I really admire Alicia Keys. I'm more of an oldies and jazz singer myself. I like Patti Page, Peggy Lee, and Rosemary Clooney because of their style. Dee Daniels is a big influence as well. Once in a while I try a few contemporary songs, but eh, I like the old stuff better.What equipment do you use?
