BAND HISTORY Wicked Ways Skyliner GQ and the Cosmic Rayz The Debi Jordan Band MUSIC EDUCATION Washtenaw Community College Eastern Michigan University I learned how to master my vocals at Eastern Michigan University I learned how to entertain and express musical emotion at Washtenaw Community College. I learned the most about music from the late great Morris Lawrence Jr. I've had the honor to share the stage with some of Michigan's best musicians, and to open for some incredible blues players around the country.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live as often as possible. I've toured the US, opened for a couple of national acts like Tab Benoit Eric Bibb and Peter "Madcat" Ruth.
Your musical influences
I am the lovechild of Janis Joplin, Ann and Nancy Wilson, Robert Johnson, Billie Holliday, Aretha Franklin, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Mississippi John Hurt, T-Bone Walker and Patti LaBelle. Must have been one helluva party!
