Born in Brazil, raised in Canada and making her home New York, Vaneli Dos Santos has been surrounded by music from her early childhood. Singing her very first solo in church at the age of 5, Vaneli knew music would be a permanent fixture in her life.
Now, at the tender age of 20, Vaneli has been polishing her skills as a performer - singing in the studio and showcasing live at venues across the Country. With a sexy and inviting stage show Vaneli hasalways welcomed any opportunity to perform in front of a crowd.
Vaneli enjoys singing powerhouse Pop songs just as much as she loves singing sultry, soothing R&B. Her influences include Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and Mariah Carey. And having a background in dance,she admires artists like Janet Jackson, and has aspirations of becoming a quintessential entertainer, that in time will measure up to those musical icons she so highly respects.
Vaneli's Debut Single, "Loose Em," was released in March 2006 and has been gaining airplay and outstanding reviews from media sources Worldwide. In less than one month Vaneli has managed to secure growing rotation on College radio, and Commercial networks across the Country.
Her Debut Album "Hard To Believe", recorded in New York, is a collection of powerful Hip-Hop, Pop and R&B songs that tell stories about love, relationships and the joy and pain of connecting with someone all topics that are real, down-to-earth and a part of everyday life.
From the albums first hit single "Loose Em" to the smooth flow of "Luv Let Her" Vaneli provides an intriguing fusion of sexiness and edge. "Loose Em" opens strong, with a pulsing beat that continues through the song. Vanelis deep range compliments this track, showing off her sexy vocal style. "Luv Let Her" is another smash hit thats sure to please. This one is a more subtle, smooth mid-tempo with a catchy rhythm that will get listeners wanting to move.
