A Ride Back Home A Ride Back Home
'A Ride Back Home' by Cindy Stevens from the 'Walking With Angels' CD

Walking With Angels Walking With Angels
Title Track to 'Walking With Angels' CD originally written for the children killed in the Oklahoma City bombing
Cindy Stevens is a one of the up-and-coming LDS Contemporary Christian singer/songwriters. Relating her music to her life's experiences, Cindy has been said to have great healing power and has been helping people overcome adversity, the loss of loved ones, and to strengthen their faith for several years now. Cindy has a great love for children, and has dedicated her first CD to children who have fallen victims to violence (originally inspired by the Oklahoma City bombing, but sadly reinforced by events like the Columbine High School tragedy, 9/11, the war in Iraq and so many more personal tragedies that occur on a daily basis). So far Cindy has released two CD's entitled, "Walking With Angels" and "Keep the Faith." She was also featured on the Latter-Day Specialties "Top 10 LDS Artists of 2002" CD with her original song, "Borrowed Angels." Cindy recently released her own full-length music video, dedicated to children and families affected by war, featuring Kurt Bestor's beloved "Prayer of the Children". She has participated in concerts and CD signings throughout the United States. Her music video "Prayer of the Children" is both breathtaking and deeply heartfelt, and we believe you will find her music both soothing and comforting.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, whenever someone needs a charity concert thrown or an inspiring concert for youth or the young at heart. I've done venues from house parties to huge outdoor amphitheatres. Love them all. I especially loved doing the 4th of July concert at Thanksgiving Point in Utah in 2004 just before the fireworks where several of the service men and women who had just returned from Iraq spoke of their experiences in between each song. WOW!!! What an awesome experience!!! Then we played my music video, "Prayer of the Children" for everyone and it just really drove home the point of it all. We are ALL victims of war and as much as they we grateful they could serve honorably for their country, they thanked God every day that they were able to see their families again...alive.
What equipment do you use?
Imagination
Anything else?
I think that Contemporary Christian Pop music is all starting to sound the same and people are starting to lose touch with their heart and the real spirit behind why we all wanted to start singing in the first place. We're here to "express" and not "impress!!"

As a
musician, (after reading the attachment below that my dad sent me), I
realized there was something that I could do as well in the war against
Christmas. I wrote a song called 'Gabriel' you can listen to it for free
here:

If you believe as I do, that this song will affect people in a
possitive way about true meaning of Christmas then please click this link:
http://www.kelowna.thesun.net/requests/create It is sun fm, a local
secular radio station that has a copy but is hesitant to play it because
they don't think anyone wants to hear Christian oriented Christmas
music! Finally, please read the attached article and pass it along, the
enemy has succeeded in kicking Christ out of our public
schools, lets not stand still and do nothing while Christ is being
kicked out of Christmas!!! Thankyou, God bless you and, oh yeah... Merry
Christmas!!!

What would you like to hear me sing about in the future? I'm writing songs every day, but I want to songs that will touch each of you individually and help you through you dark days and help you celebrate your joyful ones! I want my music to be the kind that you love so much that you HAVE to give it to all of your friends so that they can feel the same way you do when you hear it. So come on & share with me, would ya?? Your comments mean the WORLD to me!!
