Mandown is a pop/rock band currently based out of Omaha, Nebraska. The music is saturated with vocal melody and harmonies, booming choruses, solid grooves and memorable sing-along style hooks. The majority of the songs are up-tempo and the live show is high-energy.
To date, Mandown are two and 1/2 years in and have already had the pleasure of playing several states around the Midwest. Regionally Mandown has played with friends Pomeroy, Moaning Lisa's, Valve, Shudderbug, Carolyn's Mother and Rubber Planet, among many others.
Things to note:
-Mandown was chosen as "Net Unknown" of the week by The Net Music Countdown in February, 2001. The song "Forever" from our out of print first CD (Mandown) was heard in over 30 markets. Gravity Kills held the spot the week prior.
-Mandown was one of 5 to win the "Best Unsigned Band" contest hosted by IZnet in the spring of 2001.
-Mandown's page has had over 3,000 downloads.
In June of 2001, Mandown released a second CD, "Shoulders". The first single, "I Would Fly Around You (The Helicopter Song)" has been one of the most requested songs on the Omaha/Council Bluffs radio station, 89.7 The River for several weeks now and is in full rotation. Visit the to hear a couple tracks from the new CD.
Mandown's goal is to hit the road in the fall of 2001 to support Shoulders, so if you would like to see us in your town, email us or leave a message on our where to play and we'll do our best to make it happen!

Joel- I trust the Arizona vibe is agreeing with you? Was wondering if you could send me a mp3 of You & the Stars??? Is that the name of it. I would love to hear it. I have only heard it LIVE once.
You are sorely & deeply missed by those fortunate enough to see you perform in the past.
If you are not performing, all I can say is...what a waste, a waste of sheer talent and the ability "to reach millions with your music."
Much Love, Always
