Tuba Mirum Tuba Mirum
About the sound of the trumpet that raises souls on judgment day, this section of my Requiem is meant to be regal, awe-filled; moving from morosely comtemplative to uplifting in the central section.
Kyrie Eleison Kyrie Eleison
The Kyrie Eleison is usually an anguished prayer for the Lord's mercy, but my setting is an attempt to achieve spritual intensity with tranquil meditation.
Twilight, Orchestral caprice in F major Twilight, Orchestral caprice in F major
A short, atmospheric tone poem for piano and full orchestra.
Prayer for peace, for Choir and Piano Prayer for peace, for Choir and Piano
Set to the words of Agnus Dei for SATB choir, this is a 'moderato grazioso' movement that starts of from a gentle melodic introduction to swell into a harmonically more complex central section, to the words 'Donna Nobis Pacem'.
Out in the sun - Flute, Piano, Cello trio Out in the sun - Flute, Piano, Cello trio
A neo-baroque piece with lots of counterpoint-work and a Mozartian development section... wherever the music goes, it always returns to a cheerful, luminous F major! Memories of warm afternoons spent in play...
Hey everyone... I am a composer working in chamber and symphonic music, and I have written works (sonatas, trios, caprices, and choral works) drawing from a variety of styles, but broadly falling into the 'neo-classical' genre. I would describe my music as intimate and personal yet structured and abstract... and intended to address a large emotional range succintly. My influences are varied... from Mozart, who was a major early influence, to people like Stravinsky, Bartok and Janacek... I love Ameriacn composers like Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein.A personal computer, my synthesizer.
