The band: Matt Halford: vocals, Simon Barker: bass Mark Ottolangui: drums Martyn Holland: guitar. Starting in spring 2004 the band from Hitchin and Camden came together with the hunger to write some songs, turn up the volume and ‘just get out there and play live’. They recorded their self-financed debut album ‘TV Scream’ in August 2005 at 2Fly Studios in Sheffield and produced by Alan Smyth (Pulp, Future Ex Wife fame) helping the band to further broaden their loyal fan base. Reviews: The Kramers, who are sensational. They sound like Wire, swilling a cocktail of Pil and The Clash. Scary punk, psychotic stares and bloody noses. I’m already discovering a band that sound like they have a great future in rock and roll. Plastic Ashtray. The Kramers are those fearsome punk slash rockers from Herts and Camden who've built up a steady and one may say, hardcore fan base over the years playing alongside the likes of the maniacal Parkinsons, who they apparently, 'blew off the stage.' (Christ, if that isn't a recommendation I don't know what is) And Black Moses at the likes of The Hope and Anchor and The Dublin Castle. Rock Night Satellite The track ‘Hey’ from their album featured on the well-received Organ 21 (Organart Magazine) compilation album with other bands including 65 Days of Static And Twentysixfeet. Musical influences: The New Bomb Turks, The Hives, Eighties Matchbox Black Flag, The Dead Kennedys, The Fall, Man Astro Man and Rocket From The Crypt. The band continues to play their loud punk rock n roll krunk noise live, in and around the London & Hertfordshire circuits, supporting the likes of: The Rakes, The Cenobites, Blood Safari, The Vibrators, The Sound Explosion, Black Wire, The Parkinsons and Black Moses. February 2006 saw the band record their 5-track E.P. produced by Ed (Mudhoney, Billy childish fame) at Gizzard Recording Studios, East London.
