What up everybody. My name's Mike Martin. I'm basically just a young nigga from Jersey doin what I enjoy most. Just to let u kno from the gate, I'm nothin like anything u ever heard b4. Thats why I named my first album "Nothing You're Used To".Band/artist history
Umm. Well I started rappin as a hobby back in 2001. Fucked up thing is I was writin one of my first few rhymes while the whole 9/11 shit was goin down. But anyway, I decided I was gonna chase rap as a career back in May of 2005. Then I started writin songs, just tryna get my skills up. And finally I recorded my first ever song, which was Definition of Greatness, on January 4, 2006.Have you performed in front of an audience?So far i've only done one live performance. It was a talent show at Drexel University in philly. I'll never forget that night, cuz i fucked my knee up like CRAZY lol.
Your musical influences
I'm influenced by almost everything man. But my main influences are Jay-Z, Kanye West, Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli. My style is similar to a spoken word, like Talib Kweli, but with attitude, more like a modern day 2pac.What equipment do you use?
