The Peter Roy Project plays a somber more darker acoustic rock. The Peter Roy Project has had songs used in a feature film title TURN LEFT which is available for rental and retail on 06-06-06. The band is working on its first CD which will be available around the world in late 2006. The band did its first video which was directed by Dominic Jackson who has done nunerous rap video's for acts like Master P and EPMD.Band/artist history
After recording 13 songs for the feature film TURN LEFT with a studio project band called BLACK13; I decide to write a solo song and pitch it to the director of the film. He loved it so much he used it as the credits roll on the film. I was so inspired by this that i decided my days as only a singer were over. It was time to break out as a solo artist. I quickly started writing new music and did a video for a song called "LOST". The video is available on home page for free download. The Peter ROy PRoject also got picked up by Adowa Entertainment and will have a CD available across the globe in late 2006!Have you performed in front of an audience? We played live at the Cannes Film Festival 2005 to support the world premiere of the movie TURN LEFT. It was an amazing experience and I got to meet a million actors and actress's I have my whole life!
Your musical influences
Pj Harvey, Portishead, Bjork, Alice Cooper, and Tom Petty are some of my biggest influences. I love to mix different samples and noises into my acoustic songs. Beats range from Bossa Nova to experimental! What equipment do you use?
Ibanez PF acoustic guitar and my roland SP 606 sampler are my main tools! I record using CUBASE.Anything else?
Check out the music and let me know what you think. http://www.prp-music.com

Hi Peter,
Came over from your post on the forum, and firstly, many congrats. on your perseverance and success in getting "Tomorrows" onto the film "Turn left" Listening to this haunting, lovely track I can see why.
I also love "Lost" and both are on my stations.
Please let me know if you add any more samples...interesting stuff all round, with superb vocals, and I wish you much luck.

Liked your tunes.....Something in the drum beat in Lost did not sit right with my hears.....maybe to much in the mix or the kick was a little to often.......tommorrows was very nice ...a Pearl Jam Sound Garden type vocal.......nice feal to the song......liked the heavy use of reverb in the songs ....keep up the good work....Zzed
