Hate Pattern Of Violence Hate Pattern Of Violence

Just a song describing our disgust for the people who lift not one finger to make a change in society. These are the people who just sit there and let the world around them devour all that is good.

Laugh, Cry, Kill Laugh, Cry, Kill

Just an example of how much we hate the snobs in society. You know, the people that think they can walk all over you because the 'law' protects them. Well, back a dog into a corner for to long an no consequence will keep it from biting you...

Heavy Metal

Mind Over Madder came together with its current line up in January of 2005. Four seasoned musicians united with only the desire to create the most cutting edge Hardcore Metal. With subject matter consisting of extreme views on the shortcomings society has to offer, the opportunities seem endless. Mind Over Madder is about embracing the rage that is inside us all instead of suppressing it like the powers that be wish us to.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Tacoma is where we call home. The Catbox Lounge is our favorite venue. Special moments? Yeah. One we can recall is a show we did at the Catbox where during our 5th song some guy tackled our singer onstage in mid scream. Tim then ran the length of the bar to tackle him over a pool table and proceed to deliver a few blows to his head. Mind Over Madder kept playing and Tim got back up onstage and finished the song and the set. A very fun show that was.
Your musical influences
Hatebreed, God Forbid, Lamb of God, Fear Factory, Henry Rollins, and Sepultura to name a few.
What equipment do you use?
Richard uses a Pod XT pushed through a Behringer 2400 watt power amp coming through B-52 cabinets. He plays an ESP Viper series baritone guitar. Tim uses a Peavey XXL head through a 5150 cabinet. He plays Richard's Ibanez with heavy guage strings to match the baritone. Rory uses a Yamaha bass with heavy guage strings going through a VAMP processor going through a Peavey 1100 watt power amp and then through an Ampeg 6x10 speaker cab. Jessy beats on a Tama 5 piece set with DW pedals, 2 Zildjian crashes, two Zildjian chinas. Tim sings through which ever microphone that hasn't been bashed in with his forehead. Generally a Shure SM58.

Take a listen. Give us feedback. You won't be the first to tell us we suck, or that we are great for that matter. We accept brutal honesty with open arms.
