We are christian punk band from Latvia. We play together one year, I came here from another band. Our songs are very fast, others say we play like melodic punk. But they are very different! We have about 20 songs, we are going to record them this year!Band/artist history
Toothsome Twang is Christian band that plays in style they think it is punk rock, but if you would call it as other style of music you are welcome to do it, we dont care what is called that style, we're just doing what we love to do. And so, band exists from summer of year 2001. At the beginning they were two guys ALvils and Kastic together with girl named LeeGah, she was first drummer of band. In november of this year band was in Estonia, christian music event called "Festar '01", in end of november they recorded demo of two songs.
In December ALvils (guitar, vocals) got contact with brother in Christ named Philips who is author of this web page. So next biggest event was creating of this web page.
Playing some shows, getting new and new fans, band decided to record real CD, not just demo, but two weeks before record drummer LeeGah left band. So reacord did not happen and for few time "Toothsome Twang" was without drummer. Than God gave them new drummer Viesturs and "Toothsome Twang" rocks again! In august of year 2002 "Toothsome Twang" did not record album, but they did some thing in studio, and so new demo was made, and it's possible to hear it in this web site, as well, just look in "Stuff"!
For year 2003 band plans to go and play shows not only in Latvia, but also in Estonia, Lithuania and Germany. There are not many newschool punk bands in Latvia, about 3-5. More are oldschool one.:) We play in punk hardcore club, in clubs for alternative music. In festivals, different music shows. We love it! We love to praise God with our music!!
