Hi Tim
Well we didnt get round to trying any harmonies but got into another song that paul had written - we tried a new approach with a rockier sound and I,m quite pleased with the result - please go and have a listen on pauls page (seniah) I tried to take some of your advice on this one though and took away all the reverb that I tend to hide my voice behind - Paul didnt so much let me sing this one more that I just finished it off while he wasnt around and he has been gracious enough to leave my vocal on. Please do have a listen and let us know what you think. By the way Ive been listening to common courage while typing (is this new or did i just miss it before) love the words. the light accoustic sound is wonderful behind your vocal in the verses and is somehow just enough with out anything else going on - great feeling - The yeah yerah yeah at 3.09 is that your voice or someone else ? I like that touch - cheers David

Hi Tim, I'm not an expert on using the computer, as I do all mine on a digital studio, and never really got into the computer side of things, but speaking with others I think it's wise to have a really good soundcard. I guess it's the same as anything if you want quality you gotta pay for it. But there is also the danger of going over the top, it's so easy with technology that has so many functions, effects and so on to do that, but I do think a decent soundcard would be important, and plenty of memory also.

Hi Tim.
Thanks for your comments, the drum tracks on Fair Isles and Reason To Love are done on a Korg PA60, on Beyond The Blue on the Alesis SR16. I use a Roland VS2480 Studio, Taylor guitar and Ibanez Bass, thats about it really, all other instruments and percussion done on the Korg.

Thanks for the listen, I know what you mean with the vocal, I do try to push but but still lack some confidence, or it could just be to do with a silk purse and a sows ear. Anyway Paul (Seniah) will be over this week and hopefully will add some harmonies- well see how it goes. As for recording i use Sonar home studio a pc and an ozonic as the interface. Still using a cheap mic though and I guess that is next on the upgrade list.

Hi Tim. Thanks for your comments on my tune Fair Isles. It's not a real drummer I'm afraid, back bedroom job, the wonders of technology eh? Been listening to your songs like em. Thanks again for listening and commenting.

Hi Tim, in answer to your question, the reason i write in other genres is that i love all kinds of music, and depending on the moment depends on what music i listen too or write in. I'm not in search of a record contract, i wasted too much of my teenage years doing that, but when you've spent time and money writing, recording and putting a bit of yourself into a song, its just nice to have other people listen to your music and hope that they enjoy something about it, or maybe relate to it in some way, thats what it's all about at the end of the day. How about yourself, what are you hoping for out of this?

Hi Tim
I've just stumbled onto your sight, i share your sentiments on 'House of Cards, as i'm sure many others do. 'White Dress' also caught my ear, that guitar sounds real nice and sets the atmosphere for the song. You've got some great work here, l've enjoyed listening to your music.Keep on singing!!
All the best

Tim
Saw your message on my brothers message board (Seniah) thought Id answer your question re Acoustic General - When you upload your songs you have the option to choose the genre that you want the song to be listed in it is at this point you choose Acoustic General - you can also change the genre in which a song apears although this will loose any chart position you may have achieved this is done through your band administration page in the song section. - hope that helps - anyway been listening to your songs while typing - Very impressive, very enjoyable - Keep up the good work

I really like 'House of Cards'
Excellent song!!
Hi Tim, really sorry took me so long to reply to your message, been away holiday and pretty busy. Your question was how did being on this site sffect my life... philsophical qustion :-) well truth is I spend very little time here, I subscribe to others which I spend more time on, should I mention here????? mp3.unsigned ooops fingers slipped. Anyway I must make a resolution to spend more time here lol and hoefully get a bit more reaction, so if the truth be told (and it's my fault) I havent had much reaction here. Hope you are ok anyway, and keep up the good work!!!!
