I've been a performing artist/singer/songwriter for 30 something years, as both a soloist and lead singer for several bands.
Mostly these days I am writing and recording new material.Band/artist history
see www.susanlainey.comHave you performed in front of an audience?Yes I play live as a solo, and provide music programs for health facilities, weddings, private parties and special events. Also the occasional gig with a few local bands, at clubs, outdoor concerts , and charitable events throughout Southern New England. I love the interaction of playing and creating with other musicians, there is just nothing can compare to that.
I sing in many different styles, and have enjoyed demoing songs for other artists as well .

For speakers I use JBL Eons 2 15s & 2 10s . I have both the powered and non powered. I like Audix microphones for my vocal . I play a Guild F47CE Grand Auditorium acoustic electric.Anything else?
.... love everything about writing and playing music, except for the drama of people who think they're above others and use their "attitudes" to get what they want. I believe you get a lot further in the long run by treating people the way you'd like to be treated....

Wow-- GORGEOUS voice! I'm so glad I stumbled onto your page! What a pleasure-- there's such depth and sincerity in your voice. I hope you take this how it's intended-- I know some people don't like to be compared to other artists, wanting to be "unique" I guess-- but your voice reminds me of Judy Collins-- only more polished! Seriously. I loved Anywhere USA. Beautiful melody, and I LOVED the guitar! ( I have one, I just can't PLAY the thing!!)
But it's what I hear in my head when I'm writing a song. So I always end up trying to play the guitar I'm hearing in my head, on the piano. Let me just say for the record-- it doesn't work. :)

Susan its been such a long time since I heard ur beautiful voice. I went to listen to ur songs again. Such amazing voice that brings me back in time of when we emailed one another over our struggles. I recently lost my mother (last month). & hearing ur voice got me to thinking of her. Keep in touch! It would be nice to hear from u once again & keeping eachother updated on how both of our songs are coming along.
