Cliff Barnes (aka c.j.3.j.) has been an avid music lover his entire life. As a teenager he started attending raves and exploring the world of dance music. It was then he realized his passion for djing. While living in Maryland for a brief time he attended several massive parties with some of the worlds biggest headliners while also saving every penny to buy equipment. Not knowing any djs yet, he would stand by the booth and watch them play so that he could teach himself. He was finally able to buy his own decks and went straight to work.
Soon with the help DJ Digitek, Cliff started to create a passion that will last throughout his years being a DJ. Cliff bought records ranging from Trance, House, Breaks and Drum n Bass until he finally discovered his own sound. During this time, Cliff moved to Florida to attend International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa Bay. His first steps into the dj world involved joining with a local crew Funk The Nation, known for throwing some of the largest events in the Tampa Bay area. He spent the next several years developing a new sound which consist of House, Trance, Baltimore Club and Funky Florida Breakbeats.
Soon Cliff moved back up to Maryland with a new crew, Illuminatae Underground, working his way up as a dj and learning the ins and outs of promotion. His experience with Illuminatae Underground influenced Cliff's decision to start his own crew Time Launch, which will soon throw several successful local events and helped boost the careers of every dj in it. During this time Cliff was also able to diversify himself as a dj. Cliff played at, not only raves and clubs, but also art shows and on the internet. In years to come Time Launch will become a predominant force in the East Coast bringing in the hottest djs around the world. He also recorded a track for Coast 2 Coast Mixtape.
His mixes are rare and full of passion. Cliff has held residencies at some of the hottest clubs in Baltimore City and Tampa Bay while playing parties all over the East Coast. He's djed with some of the most respected names including DJ Scribble, DJ Icey, DJ Rap, Seb Fountain, Ralph Lindstrom, DJ Lexx, DJ Frequie G, DJ N'Dinga and DJ Baby Ann. Naturally, the next step in Cliff's career is production. Look for his original tracks out in 2008.Have you performed in front of an audience?Used to play all around the east coast but recently I just practice on my own tables and produce.

Micheals (died in 2002, R.I.P.), DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Scribble, Morris Day and The Time, Tiesto, Sasha and Digweed, Wish FM, Felix Da House Cat, and Nightstalkers.
