Honey (born Tonica Callis in 1987 in Los Angelos,California) is a female R&B singer. Hailing from Fresno, California, definitely out of Cali but currently turning heads in Texas. She flexes her soulful roots on lead single " What Makes You Hot," Honey' s vocals and lyrics on her album Black Book detail the love and hate relationships she and other females have experienced.
Currently she is promoting her single "What Makes You Hot," at college, universities, and clubs. The album Black Book is set to hit stores August 2006. Black Book is an album of smooth ballads and up-beat party bangers.
R&B artist Honey roots stem from her local church, who began rhyming and singing at the age of 6, continued to hone her skills throughout high school .After graduating high school, she collaborated with producer DJ JMK to record her debut single, "What Makes You Hot " for an independent label, Black Child Records. After years of perfecting her talent with an opportunity for growth, Honey has created an album that fluidly blends both Hip-Hop and R&B, and testifies that she is ready to stand up and be heard. "What Makes You Hot," the first single from Honey's album, is a certified dance hit.With a catchy call-out chorus , the track is a seamless blend of R&B that showcases the young singer’s natural songwriting abilities. The single was originally released independently by the Houston, Texas based company, Black Child Records. The song received immediate attention throughout the New York, Texas, and Cali area.With such musical influences as Mary J.
