Band/artist history
Logic (Charles D Bryant, Jr.) was born in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, where he was exposed to hip-hop at an early age. Relocating to North Carolina early in his adolescence, Logic developed a versatile lyrical style, with apparent influences by every aspect of the genre, particularly urban reality/consciousness rap and East Coast hardcore lyrical delivery. He is an integral element in the rap team UndaDogs, partnered by the creatively eloquent JaStar, and Cross, known for his pretty-boy swagger and quick-witted tongue. Logics style epitomizes appreciation for an instrumental; his delivery is renowned for riding any beat, whether he produces it or not, and touches every subject from lost love to everyday hustling. Logic is currently completing production of future UndaDog tracks, has recorded his first self-produced project entitled The Next Candidate(2003), and aspires to develop his own artist development/production label, AnuthaWon Records™.Mic Star, born Michael Chapman, deeply disturbed over the death of the Notorious B.I.G., picked up a pen and decided to write rhymes. That was a decade ago, and over time his style has developed into the sharped-tongued form Mic uses to fuel his hybrid Dirty South/East Coast hardcore delivery. Born in New Jersey, Mic moved to Kinston, NC, when he was only five years old, due to family financial hardship.
In addition to rapping, JaStar also produces tracks with his other half Logic (Charles Bryant, Jr.), joining to form the rap team UndaDogs. When asked how he feels about his music, he simply replies, I could give a f**k, UndaDogs for lifeHave you performed in front of an audience?NYC is the jump-off, although we've touched the nation from NC (the homebase), to ATL (the proving grounds), all the way to the West Coast, particuarly Vegas. We're not gangsta rap, we're real rap. We deal with the hood we live in, the sh*t we've gone through, the day-to-day grind. We do it for the people that know about workin' 40 hour weeks and still can't pay the bills. We do it for the girls that gotta strip their way through school. We do it for the gangstaz that know in their hearts they want out of the game, but are in to deep. We do it like that because that's what we know, and out only affliation is to ourselves and the beat...What equipment do you use?
