Mendosa, Mendosa, Mendosa, formerly known as S.P.I.C.-N.Y.C.E. Mendosa is a well known artist in the T-DOT area. He represents a new movement in Spanish/English Hip-Hop. He's well known for his sense of freestyle and the way he manipulates words to make statements. Mendosa's been an artist for 5 years and is also a Producer/Engineer. He got his skills studying at the International Academy of Design and Tech and is now practicing his field. He just graduated. Mendosa's opened up for Fito Blanko from T-DOT and other Canadian artists as well. This 21 year old Argentinian is strong with his messages and proud of his culture, check his album dropping soon, catch it at any of your local music stores.Band/artist history
From the beginning of his high school years Mendosa had a vision. He could never see it too clearly but always knew that he had a purpose to find out what that vision had to show. So he began following his instincts and living by a simple phrase. “Everything happens for a reason”. With this in mind he began seeking the truth about why he was put in Toronto, Canada and what his mission is.
SKILLS:
SPIC-NYCE HAS BEEN CONSIDERED EVERYTHING FROM A RAPPER TO A LYRICIST. HE PREFERS TO GO BY LYRICIST BECAUSE OF HIS UNIQUE STYLE TO PUNCH OUT LYRICS AND ABILITY TO MANIPULATE WORDS OFF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD. HIS FREESTYLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN PUSHED TOWARDS A FEELING THAT HE HAS. RATHER THEN USE HIS WORDS TO HURT OTHERS THROUGH METAPHORS AND BATTLES, HE FREESTYLES HIS LIFE AWAY THROUGH EXPRESSING HIS FEELINGS.
EDUCATION:
SPIC-NYCE IS CURRENTLY STUDYING RECORDING ENGINEERING/SOUND TECHNOLOGY AT THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY. HE’S IN HIS 4TH TERM AND HAS ONE MORE TERM TO GO. AFTER HIS FIFTH TERM IS COMPLETE HE WISHES TO CONTINUE WHAT HE HAS LEARNED THROUGH HIS FULL TIME JOB AT CLOCKWORKS RECORDING STUDIOS.
TRACK RECORD:
IN JULY 2001 SPIC-NYCE and his partner at the time K-SWIFF FORMED A GROUP CALLED KON-SCIENCE (CONSCIENCE) OR TO THE LATIN COMMUNITY (KON-SCIENCIA). THE GROUP CONSISTED OF 3 SPICS 2 FLIPS AND A WOP. WITH KONSCIENIA SPIC-NYCE AND HIS FORMER PARTNER K-SWIFF DOMINATED SHOWS IN THE G.T.A. (GREATER TORONTO AREA) PUMPING OUT ELEVEN SHOWS LAST SUMMER AND 6 SHOWS LAST WINTER, KONSCIENCIA WAS QUICKLY GETTING THE EXPOSURE THAT THEY NEEDED. THROUGH TIME AND TRIBULATIONS KONSCIENCIA SLOWLY BEGAN FADING AWAY. MEMBERS OF THE GROUP WERE LEAVING AND SOME WERE GROWING OUT OF THE SCENE. IN MAY 2005 KONSCIENCIA WAS NO MORE.
SINCE THEN SPIC-NYCE HAS BEEN PUSHING HIS MUSIC INDIVIDUALLY. TRACK AFTER TRACK, WITH 20 + SONGS AND ENDLESS SONGS BEING WRITTEN HE IS VERY AMBITIOUS ABOUT WHAT HE DOES AND WANTS TO ACHIEVE. HE SAYS, “THINK BIG, AND BIG THINGS WILL COME”.
MISSION:
HIS MISSION IS TO DO IT ALL. THE POTENTIAL OF THIS YOUNG ARTIST IS UNLIMITED, HE HOPES TO CHARM THE WOMEN OF THE WORLD WITH HIS SMOOTH LYRICS AND TOUCH THE SOFT SPOT OF THE WORLD THROUGH HIS MELANCHOLY MUSIC. HE HOPES TO SOMEDAY TRAVEL THE WORLD AND GIVE THE GIFT OF HIS MUSIC TO ALL.Have you performed in front of an audience?Performing live is the best thing about being an artist. To be able to connect with the crowd and share your emotions with a bunch of strangers who respect you is something that every artist is proud of. I've performed in numerous locations in the T-DOT, like the Reverb, El Mocambo, 108, Darknights Car Exhibition, The Hound, Fox and Fiddle, and various other clubs. My special moment was at my last show because I signed my first autograph. It was nice, haha....
