Perhaps the M in LM stands for music but that would be quite redundant. LM is music, the same way Picasso is art. LM is now working his way on making a mark in the acoustic music industry of the country, being part of the effort on continuously giving brilliant contributions to OPM.
Flashback kindergarten, LM was caught doing a Michael Jackson act, singing his heart out, at the age of six. But only until his sixth grade did he realize that he can really sing, when his elementary friends complimented his voice and knack for playing the guitar. His vocals continued to shine in high school. He performed in a handful of student activities and presentations, along with being a varsity member of the basketball and track and field team as well as a part of the tae kwon do club. LM was your not-so-average talented teenager.
He took his music on a more serious note when he turned legal. At the age of 18, he started doing gigs in different bars and other establishments in Timog, Mandaluyong, Makati, Marikina and Rizal. He started as a guitarist for an acoustic duo but then went on going solo after exploring more opportunities.
LM temporarily stopped performing when he turned 21 to be able to properly focus on his college studies. His hiatus on the music scene only intensified his itching to entertain the people through his vocal calisthenics.
Recently, LM decided to relive his passion for music. He now regularly performs in bars and cafes around the metro and sometimes go out of town as per event invitations. He always shares the stage with his Takamine but he also got to share it with a handful of big names in the music industry. LM’s music, which falls under the acoustic alternative genre, is hugely inspired by John Mayer, Howie Day, Coldplay, Snow Patrol and Eric Clapton.
LM has now started recording and writing his own songs. With his guitar prowess and vocal serenades, his career is very promising. The M in LM does not stand for music, it stands for Midas.
