Songwriting is a part of life for me. I respect all the songwriters, and performers, and hope that in putting my music out for others to hear, I can share a part of me with you, and we both can feel better in the process.Band/artist history
Brief singer - songwriter biography: Performed live and developed a nice following in the Buffalo, NY area during college days, where I minored in Music Theory with piano as major instrument, and on Long Island, NY after college. Shared the stage with the likes of Dave Van Ronk, Harry Chapin, Happy and Artie Traum. Came to Southern CA late 1970's wanting to "make it" as a successful songwriter in Hollywood. Was "showcased" several times by the Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase, John Braheny and Len Chandler, who thought very highly of my potential (multiple "showcases" with them was considered special). With their guidance, met with several record company reps over a two-year period, trying to sell my songs. Was not successful, so gave up and settled for a computer career in So Cal for the past quarter century. But the singer - songwriter bug is still in my blood, and now, with the aid of the digital revolution on the WWW, I have been able to self publish my songs, and have them reviewed and enjoyed by folks around the world. The responses I have gotten from these folks have been wonderful and encouraging. If that is as much success as I achieve in this second go at song publishing, then I shall be thankful. But if I can find a professional Music Publisher, or have one find me through "Jeff's Jukebox," one who hears something in my songs that would fit some business opportunity at hand, that would be a dream come true! Go ahead, make my day (please). :-)Have you performed in front of an audience?I played live many years ago, and have fond memories of it (time will do that for you), but my main goal now is to get my music out there, and hope someone in the Publishing or recording fields hears something in my songs or singing that will make them want to produce me or my songs.

Too many to list! Let me give some of the 60's & 70's stuff, since I cut my teeth on this: early Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Eagles, James Taylor, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Dave Crosby, Steve Stills, Graham Nash, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen...What equipment do you use?
Electric guitars, upright piano, harmonica, digital recorder, condenser micAnything else?

love hurts has always been one of my favorites (nazareth's version). jeff, liked what you did with it, throwing in a slight alteration of your own, and great vibrato on the vocal. cool job!
