Overture of the Wheels on the bus it is a metaphoric of there being no driver on the bus and the bus being a symbolic of mother earth and there being the bus full of chaos

This is a section of the opera where Rose and Louis are still not communicating well. Rose is semi-comforted by her friend the 'hump od shat smoking a bung' who has the greatest advice saying muck muck muck

So with the misguided conversations and misunderstandings in relationships Rose is Confused does not know what to do and has poetic description. The only conclusion she can come up with is escape to the monkey salad woods

This is where Rose goes out to the Monkey Salad woods and eats and eats and is so thristy. then along comes 'Don' (the woodsman) and share his fresh water with her back at his cabin. She decides in the end to join the circus
